| Open meeting with Bristol City Council |
|
Wednesday, 21 January 2009
This will take place in the clubhouse starting at 8:00pm and will begin with a presentation by Local Authority representatives outlining the City’s plans for the regeneration of Lockleaze. This will be followed by a question and answer session. We hope they will be able to tell us how important Dings Crusaders are to their plans and how we will fit in. I know that you are all concerned about the future for this area of Bristol and for your rugby club. I am sure you will appreciate the opportunity to put your views to those who can make it happen.
As you know, your committee has been working hard to secure better facilities for Dings Crusaders here in Lockleaze. We have tried to impress upon all parties that our club is not just a rugby club, it is a facility enjoyed by many different parts of our community. The problem is that it is now a tired facility that is in urgent need of updating and improving. Please come along and hear for yourself what the plans are for Lockleaze and take the opportunity to add your valued opinion. It would be nice to be able to show the strength of feeling that our members have over this issue.
